Suite Provençale is a large, bright room with a French flair. It is filled with beautiful antique furniture, including a super comfortable king-size four-poster bed. The ensuite bath features vintage fixtures with a claw foot tub/shower. The room is on the second floor, facing the front of the house. LL Bean bedding and sumptuous Frontgate bath towels are featured, as well as plush terry robes. An assortment of lotions, shampoos and conditioners are provided, along with lovely soaps and a hair dryer. There is a writing desk and full-length mirror in the bedroom, and an antique dresser and large armoire.

The Lake Room features the aubergine colors, as well as artwork depicting various scenes from around the Finger Lakes. The room is on the second floor, facing a quiet side street. There is a very comfortable king-size Bed and the spacious bathroom has a separate tub and walk- in shower. Terry robes are provided, the bed is dressed in LL Bean sheets, and Frontgate bath towels promise to wrap you in comfort. An antique writing desk, as well as dresser and settee make the room very inviting. Hair dryer, soaps, shampoos, conditioners and lotions are waiting for you in the bath. Botticelli is a relaxing room with warm colors and a comfy queen-size Bed. The ensuite bath is large and sunny and features a glass- enclosed shower. The room is on the second floor, facing the driveway and an 80-foot Norway Spruce tree which is especially beautiful when shrouded with snow! Terry robes, hair dryer, and an assortment of toiletries are provided, as well as LL Bean sheets and Frontgate bath towels, for a luxurious stay. Angels are the theme in this room, so expect several to be guarding you during your visit! There is a TV with Roku, and WIFI for your convenience.

Aubergine is the real deal - a truly wonderful B&B guest experience. Great breakfast, beautiful home and Christine is a wonderful host.
For our first time to the Fingers Lakes area, we couldn't have picked a better spot to be based out of and all of Christine's suggestions were spot on (if you go, you really have to listen to what she tells you to do!).

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Aubergine Bed & Breakfast for a family wedding back in early July and we had a lovely experience! Christine is a wonderful host that made our stay very special! Every morning, we would come down to the most delicious homemade breakfast made from local ingredients in her own backyard. We would also be greeted by her adorable Sheltie dog named Finn who always put a smile on our faces! We enjoyed chatting to Christine about the Penn Yan area and things to check out and do, as well as just chatting to get to know each other. Staying at the Aubergine truly feels like you’re staying at a family member or friend’s home. The bed and breakfast itself is a charming Victorian house located in a quiet residential neighborhood that is close to the downtown area. Our room was very spacious and cozy with the most comfortable bed! All in all, this was my first experience staying at a local bed and breakfast and this exceeded my (already high!) expectations. We chose Aubergine for a romantic B&B weekend away from the city and were touched by the thought and care put into our stay. It certainly feels like a B&B run by the head of the Finger Lakes B&B Association - which it is! This Victorian home is nestled on a quiet street a short stroll from Penn Yan's center of town and is within walking distance of water rentals.
Christine embodies the warmth and hospitality of country living, from gentle conversations to spoiling guests with goodies like a jar of fresh-baked cookies and tubside bubble bath. We enjoyed spending breakfasts with her, planning out our stay and learning more about the region. She is accompanied by a wizened Sheltie dog named Finn that will melt your heart.
Our room was meticulously clean, ample, and relaxing, with a huge king-sized bed and rather generous bathroom (half the size of my Manhattan apartment!). An A/C over the bed kept us cool during August sweltering nights, while excellent water pressure in the shower and tub warmed us up in the mornings.

This was our first visit to the Finger Lakes region as a couple (and the very first one for me). We wanted a getaway to celebrate our small anniversary together and we couldn't have picked a better place. Christine's bed and breakfast is so spectacular that for the three days of our stay we felt like home, or even better than home. She is a wonderful attentive host, a kind-hearted and lovely person who puts so much attention and effort into every detail, it's amazing. Words cannot describe the experience we've had. Out of all B&B experiences over the past ten years, this was the best and I doubt that anything in the future will ever beat it. A lot of the greatness comes from Christine's outgoing and warm personality and that is very rare these days. We will definitely be back for our next visit, whenever it may be.
Aside from great conversations and charming French-style accommodations, Christine is a phenomenal baker. Every breakfast was lovingly made from scratch with a new recipe every day. Her homemade yogurt is to die for (and I am not a fan of yogurt to begin with!). Long story short, you will not be disappointed with Aubergine, Chris, and her lovely dog Finn. And make sure you get to enjoy the serenity of her garden and chill out with a glass of Finger Lakes wine in the back patio.
